With Hurricane Irene bearing down on Codorus State Park in Hanover, Pa, GCH. Cypress Bay's Leap For Susy Romo, RN, CGC, TDI, "Susy" earned her WD (Water Dog) title at the Colonial Newfoundland Club Water Test on Saturday 8/27/2011. This was handler Kathy Havran's first time ever training and testing a Newfoundland for a Water Test. A tremendous "thank you, thank you"! to Mary Jane Spackman for being our coach and mentor in this adventure! Susy's successful completion of her WD title would not have been possible without Mary Jane's help!

Darin cox reports that Really's first competition agility trial at K9 Konnections in Beltsville MD Saturday wasn't a Q, but Really did well, and Darin's very proud of him. Really was happy, fast and enthusiastic. A video has been posted at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j2QpBYQqqk. Darin also reports that his second run was better, but a little too much time for a Q. Pat Snider reported that Joe got 2 Beginner Novice legs and 2 Level 3 UKC rally legs, one of which was a first place. (To see Pat and Joe working, there is a video posted of Pat and Joe at York County DTC at Papillonia in Red Lion at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta2sFHJQwc4.)

Darin Cox reported that Pip completed Level 3 Rally and one leg was a perfect score. Pip now has 43 overall titles.

UCDX,URO3,UAG11 Ruttkay Autumn Bronze VCD1,CDX,RE,OF,OAJ,ThD,TDIAOV, call name Autumn who is owned and handled by Daisy Kramer of Enola, PA, was the very first Keeshond in the country to earn the ThD title (confirmed by Lisa Carroll from AKC). Autumn passed her test with Therapy Dogs International in October 2005, just a couple of days past her first birthday. She has since visited countless nursing homes and assisted living facilities, participated in local parades as part of her therapy dog group, and during the school year goes to school every week for an hour so the second graders can read to her. Autumn has earned the TDIAOV title, which means she has accumulated 150 therapy dog visits. She needs only 49 more visits for the next level, which is TDIRVA, Therapy Dog International Remarkable Volunteer Achievement. Autumn and I enjoy bringing the love and healing powers of a dog to hundreds of people every year and are encouraged by the recognition given by the American Kennel Club in awarding the new ThD title to Autumn and me.

Emma, owned by Dorothy Waggoner, was the second Border Terrier to receive the new AKC Therapy Dog title. Emma was also the 222nd dog to apply and be approved for the title.

Judy Thrift reported that Lucas has received the new AKC Therapy Dog title.

Joan Klingler reported that TJ has completed Level 3 in APDT rally, and has become the first Portuguese Water Dog in the country to earn the new AKC Therapy Dog title.

Jean Persia’s 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, Tinder, has earned 5 titles so far this year. The titles are: SH Senior Hunter (5 Q’s in 5 tests), MH Master Hunter (5 Q’s in 5 tests) + 2 for 2 at NSS, NRD Novice Retrieving Dog (GSPCA title), RD Retrieving Dog, CDX Companion Dog Excellent (3 straight out of Open B classes with a 2nd place). Jean also reports that Tinder’s mother, Bodee, won Utility B class (earning 10 points) at Harrisburg’s April show and received High in Trail; she also won Utility B class at Oriole DTC’s May trial for 17 points. She needs just 24 to finish her OTCH title.

Daisy Kramer reported that Autumn received her Open Standard leg, at Nationals, with a first place.

Kim Hoffner reported that Rigby received his Level 1 completion in CPE.

Jennifer Everhard reported that Tonka received her Level 1 completion in CPE.

Carol Hollis reported that Lily Lu received her Level 1 completion in CPE and also completed her Level 2 in UKC.

UCDX, RO3, UAG11 RUTTKAY AUTUMN BRONZE VCD1, CDX, RE, OAF, OAJ owned by Daisy Kramer, earned the AKC Companion Dog Excellent title at Back Mountain Kennel Club on 11/7/10, and the AKC Open Jumpers with Weaves title at the Dauphin Dog Training Club trials on 4/17/11.

Tonka CTL1-F, owned by Jenn Everhard, earned the CPE Enthusiast Level 1 Fun title, by getting a qualifying leg in Jumpers and a qualifying leg in Fullhouse.

Rigby CTL1-F, CTL1-S, CTL1-H, owned by Kim and Rich Hoffner, earned the CPE Enthusiast Level 1 Fun, Handler, and Strategy titles, by getting a qualifying leg in each of the following: Jumpers, Fullhouse, Wildcard, Colors, Snooker and Jackpot.

At the Rockland County Kennel Club under Judge Judy English Murray: WD/BOW: U-Ch U-RO1 Really CGC (Chinese Shar-Pei) Elite's I Am for Real at WudaFace, owned by Darin Cox and Patricia Snider, 3pts, New Champion!   In addition, in December 2010, Really earned his UKC Rally Obedience level 1 title (U-RO1) with a perfect first run with 100 points and High In Trial, a second run with a score of 93, and the third run with a score of 90.

U-CDX,U-RO3,U-AG1 Ruttkay Autumn Bronze VCD 1,RE,NF,TDIA, owned by Daisy Kramer earned her U-AG11 on Saturday November 28,2009, at the OTCH UKC agility event at Diamond 7 Dillsburg.

With perfect 200's and a High Combined on Saturday, Ch U-RO1,U-CDX,U-GRACH Pip CD,CDX-H,RE, OA,OAJ,MXP3,MJP2,OFP, SH,WDX, CGC,TDI (Eng. Cocker Spaniel) and Darin Cox earned their UKC Grand Agility Championship (U-GRACH) at OTCH's UKC trials. This is their 37th title together!

U-CDX,U-AG 1,U-RO3 Ruttkay Autumn Bronze CD,RE,TD,TDIA, owned by Daisy Kramer, earned AKC Novice Fast, Novice JWW and STD. With earning the JWW & STD, Autumn is VERSATILE COMPANION DOG 1. They need TRACKING DOG, OB COMPANION DOG & AGILITY NOVICE JWW & STD. "Autumn" is the 3rd Keeshond to earn VCD 1. Way to go Autumn and Daisy!

Caraleigh Terra-Billie Fair ("Billie"), owned by Pat Fallon, earned her UKC Rally Level II title at a K-9 Konnections (Beltsville, MD) UKC rally trial, with a score of 100 for her third leg and first place; in addition, Billie earned her first UR03 leg.

Elizabeth Shellehammer, a regular attendee at OTCH breed handling classes, was ranked in 2008 as the #3 Brittany handler in the country and the #12 junior handler overall. She qualified for Eukanuba and Westminster with 11 wins and 6 Best Juniors!

In Trial 1 at the OTCH UKC Obedience Trials, Goldseeker's Mystical Legend ("Fable"), owned by Nancy Hoffman, earned a 200 in Novice C. Congratulations on this rare event in the world of obedience!

At the OTCH UKC Obedience Trials, having earned her U-CDX, "Autumn", owned by Daisy Kramer is now U-CDX U-AG1 Ruttkay Autumn Bronze CD RE TD TDIA, by taking three first place finishes!

At the Old Dominion Kennel Club match show, five month old Pouch Cove's Victorian Rose ("Tory"), owned by Mary Jane Spackman, and handled by Lynne Hamilton, was Best Puppy In Match over about 150 entries!

On Fri., Jan. 30 at the Oriole DTC agility trial, AKC CH / UKC GRACH BIS BIMBS GRCH Karefree Ilkota Oh My Stars RE MX AXJ AXP AJP NF NFP NAC NJC TN-N WV-N TG-N CGC TDIA ARCHX RL1X2 RL2X RL3 ("Zoe"), owned by Joan Shields, completed her Novice FAST title with a first place. At the same trial, UKC AG-II Ilkota Panda-Monium RE NA NAJ NPJ TN-O WV-O HP-N RL1X RL2 RL3 CGC TDI ("Andy"), achieved his Novice Agility title with a 1st place and 43 seconds under course time. On Sun., Feb. 1, UKC AGII Ross Roi Karylyn En Route RAE OA AXJ NJC WV-E TN-E CGC, TDIA RL1X RL2X ARCH ("Parker") earned his RAE title.

Caraleigh Terra-Billie Fair ("Billie"), owned by Pat Fallon, achieved two scores of 100 in rally for her 27th RAE leg and achieved her RAE3 title.

At OTCH's CDSP trial, Jaquins Poetic Justice ("Justy") earned his CD-H! Justy owns and is owned by Anne Papalia-Berardi and Jerry Berardi. Way to go guys!

On Dec. 11, 2008 at the Crown Classic in Cleveland, Ohio, U-CD U-AG1 Ruttkay Autumn Bronze CD RE TD TDIA ("Autumn"), owned by Daisy Kramer, took first place for her first AKC Novice FAST Class (and first AKC) "Q". It was Autumn's first attempt at a FAST class! The next day, she also scored first place for her first "Q" in Novice JWW.

Hades, owned by Lynne Hamilton, is now CH Fairwind's Fire Beneath CD WD DD, having achieved his CD, NCA Water Dog title and his NCA Draft Dog title. Hades is one title away from being an VN or an NCA Versatile Newfoundland (this requires 5 titles - Champion, Companion Dog, Water Dog, Draft Dog and Water Rescue Dog).

Pip, owned by Darin Cox is now Ch. U-ACHX U-CDX Pennwood Gwynllyn Great Xpectations CD CDX-H OA OAJ MXP MJP OFP SH RE WDX CGC TDI, having added the "MXP" to his list of titles at the York County Dog Training Club's AKC agility trials in October.

ARCH EX Margaret CD-H RL3X RL2X2 RL1X2 RN CGC TDI, owned by Cindi Nicotera, placed 3rd in Rally Advanced A at the PWCCA 2008 National Specialty.

Fable, owned by Nancy Hoffman, achieved the first leg on her CD at the Catoctin DTC Trial in Point of Rocks Md.  Fable placed first in an entry of 40 dogs.
