Obedience Practice, Apache Von Wiesbaden, Owners: Kathy Stull/Sheila StullWe Train You to Train Your Dog!

The Obedience Training Class of Harrisburg (OTCH) is a sanctioned United Kennel Club (UKC) dog obedience club.

We offer classes based upon UKC and American Kennel Club (AKC) format.

We also offer shows and trials:

  • UKC conformation shows, and UKC obedience, rally obedience and agility trials;
  • C-Wags (Canine-Work and Games) Scent and Rally Obedience trials;
  • CDSP (Companion Dog Sports Program) obedience trials.

All of our performance events encourage mixed breed dog owners to participate and earn titles.

OTCH will be reopening on June 1st for training with the following guidelines:

- Some classes will be split into smaller units. Your instructor will let you know if you are affected by this.
- Everyone is required to wear a mask in order to enter the building and for the duration of their time in the building.
- Everyone must observer 6’ social distancing at all times.
- Dogs should not be allowed to visit with other people or their dogs. This is not a new rule.
- We are permitting only ONE HANDLER WITH ONE DOG! NO OBSERVERS! If you have to have two handlers for your dog, one must wait outside in their car. When it is time to switch handlers, the dog will be taken outside and the new handler can enter with the dog.

***Your instructor may require additional safety measures for your specific class.***

Lastly, we know and understand that many, if not most, people are experiencing personal financial difficulties due to the actions taken as a result of the pandemic. However, if you have funds available, please consider donating to OTCH. Regardless of the closure, OTCH still has ongoing expenses such as utilities and insurance, and no source of income at this time. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

Please continue to take reasonable precautions to stay safe and healthy. We look forward to serving you again, as soon as we can legally and safely do so.
